My primary role was keeping these machines running optimally and securely.• I was tasked with keeping the servers up to date on a quarterly basis, and I used SCCM/MECM to accomplish that.• When I first started, we were over 400,000 updates behind (individual updates that needed to be installed on 3000 machines) and I resolved an issue with the SCCM database that helped us catch up in the subsequent quarterly maintenances.• I also used SCCM to deploy software, check configuration/compliance, and deploy new machines (virtual and physical)• I was also tasked with the typical Windows Admin/Engineer expectations (DNS/DHCP/AD/FTP/Backups/Virtualization)• I was on an on-call rotation with 24/7 coverage• I’ve learned how to troubleshoot and maintain the adobe product Data Workbench.

• My initial focus at Verisk was largely to implement SCCM• I took over an SCCM implementation that had been neglected and misconfigured. The environment was set up with a CAS and Primary site style SCCM implementation with a plan to set up a second primary site at a later date. A CAS and multiple sites were unnecessary for the size of the environment and I was able to move forward with the CAS and one primary site (Which can support 150,000 nodes).• I had SCCM configured to automatically deploy updates (first and third party) via ADRs to about 800 test and acceptance servers based on maintenance windows determined by the business with 95% compliance. I rolled out patching to more than 1000 production servers.• I used Patchmypc for third party updates.• Application deployment and OSD for PCs and laptops – we had an end user team that used this feature and I assisted them if they need any help with it.• I was also involved with the typical Windows Engineer/Admin duties - AD, Group Policy, Windows Server Administration, Infoblox (DNS), and was a point of escalation for the helpdesk.
