Engineering Operations And Engops Manager
In this position I was on and later managed a team that is responsible for improved and stable job performance in IT's computing environment for groups in manufacturing process development and PDK development and testing. The team managed installation and troubleshooting specialized software for TCAD, processes and delivery around NFS space allocation/replication and performance, and the troubleshooting of job execution issues in Intel's distributed computing environment. Job execution improvements is where we spent most of our time. In the 4 years I was on this team, we identified and recommended fixes in scripts that would stall jobs, identified and made recommendations to mitigate bottlenecks such as NFS access latency in job performance, root caused issues with license servers dropping queued requests, found and reported issues accessing encryption templates in Azure (later fixed by MS). The measurable aspects of the work done doubled the average computing utilization of our full customer base around 2800ppl. This was, perhaps, the most productive and highest value add team I was on during my time at Intel.
