Dr. Leany is a licensed clinical psychologist in the states of Nevada and California. He graduated with his B.A. from San Diego State University as a Distinguished Graduate in the field of Psychology. It was here he gained his appreciation for the biological underpinnings of psychology conducting research into the effects of fetal exposure to environmental terratogens (alcohol, nicotine and other substances), on neurological development and subsequent behavior.Dr. Leany furthered his studies of psychology at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, working in a Neuropsychology research lab. Here he studied neuropsychological assessment and disorders such as Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia and Traumatic Brain Injuries. Dr. Leany also spent a year at Puerto Rico’s University Hospital in San Juan under the Hospital’s Department of Pediatric Neurology. Here he conducted psychological assessments and treatment for individuals with Multiple Sclerosis and Epilepsy, as well as pediatric neuro-developmental disorders such as Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism and Mental Retardation.Currently Dr. Leany works as both a provider and an educator and has a broad range of experience working as a professor with both undergraduate and graduate students.
