- Create comprehensive KYC risk profiles for high risk clients, including Politically Exposed Persons, Foreign Financial Institutions, and other complex corporate structures, to ensure that the firm is in compliance with BSA and PATRIOT ACT requirements. - Utilize a wide variety of internal and external databases to form a concise and clear summary of risk presented by potential clients. - Review individual and corporate documentation from a wide variety of jurisdictions to ensure compliance with CIP requirements and internal firm policies and procedures, including shell companies, offshore insurance and investment structures, and Foreign Financial Institutions. - Make risk-based decisions for client account approvals and escalate high risk client matters to senior management with recommendations for account closure, restriction, or further escalation. - Generate daily and weekly progress metrics for presentation to senior management and branch management. - Maintain strong relationship with branch management and financial advisors, including leading weekly progress calls, maintaining daily priority lists, and providing frequent troubleshooting assistance for navigating firm systems. - Coordinate and conduct on-site training and review initiatives with the largest international wealth management branch at the firm, and serve as point person for continued onboarding of financial advisors with international clients. - Conducted on-site training for a group of six new employees in Mumbai, India. The team is responsible for providing initial risk evaluations of client profiles, identifying clients with existing reviews, and identifying clear errors in client profiles.
