Brian Long has 15 years of NYC hospitality experience, which has honed his multi-faceted perspective and unique voice in the wine and beverage industry. Raised in Alaska, Brian made his way to NYC via Ithaca College where he received his degree in Opera Performance. During his time in NYC he has ventured into learning all parts of the business by first cutting his teeth at Jarnac and Sidecar at PJ Clarks. Then further refining his craft by becoming General Manager at Casellula Cheese & Wine Bar, a Sommelier at Ai Fiori & Marea, one-star Michelin restaurants with the Altamarea Group, Wine Director of Oceans New York, and currently the Head Sommelier at Al Coro, recently awarded two Michelin stars. Brian forges his knowledge with his pursuit of the Diploma Candidate with WSET, which he eloquently communicates to guests or in educational settings with staff and his personal business, Classic-Method. He also proudly participates in @sommation_live, an Instragram-based sommelier collective highlighting the various facets and community of the beverage professional.
