About Brian Mancuso

Project Management Certification: Waterfall and Agile trained, PMP Certified until 2027Certified Professional in Management, AMA-CPM, Certified until Sept 2026Six Sigma Yellow BeltNew York City Housing and Vacancy (one year): Worked with City and state leaders to complete the project on time, under budget and above quality expectations. Involved complex logistics, massive hiring, strong communication, absolute confidentiality, and building relationships with community organizations and elected leaders from around the five boroughs of New York City, including the Office of the Mayor and executives with the City’s Department of Housing and Preservation. 2020 Census Project: Project Manager for smartphone application to be tested then eventually used as the primary enumeration tool for the 2020 Census (project scope is the entire nation). Volunteered as temporary SCRUM master to gain priceless experience in that aspect of AGILE methodology. The project required coordination, relationship management with executives and stakeholders, as well as high levels of strategic planning. Planning an operation like the Census is a massive undertaking and I managed one of the most important projects for 2020 Census. This project required constant updates to multiple levels of management, status presentations, and product demonstrations---all in addition to a sound analysis of risks, opportunities and roadblocks. I have provided briefings and presented complex materials at meetings for the Secretary of Commerce, Members of Congress (specifically before the US House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform), the Director of the Census Bureau, John Thompson, and business leaders and local politicians.
