I was the dispatcher for the lumber yard coordinating all daily deliveries with the sales staff throughout the metro area. I supervised anywhere from 5-10 drivers and 3-5 yard employees on a daily basis. I gave annual performance reviews and also was in charge of hiring the drivers and yard employees. Customer service was a big part of my everyday job, including phone calls from customers with questions, complaints, or delivery instructions. As operations manager I was in charge of purchasing and receiving of materials for the yard on a daily basis. I was also very involved in inventory management and followed a cycle count schedule.

I delivered lumber materials to jobsites throughout the Twin Cities area and assisted customers while at the sites. I loaded and unloaded materials in the lumber yard and helped any customers that came into the yard area for materials. I built lumber loads for delivery using forklifts.
