Engaged with clients to scope work, negotiate contracts, and close deals, and then managed the projects, serving as the client face of the work while managing an offshore development team in Costa Rica.Served as the architect, developer, and product owner of the in-house authoring tool, a browser-based eLearning authoring environment implemented in Javascript / React / Python. Worked with content authors on requirements gathering, support, and community building.Acted as the interface between the technical team and the content development team, doing custom technical development, troubleshooting, and managing client integrations.

Worked as the top software engineer for the American division of a multinational training company. Drove the technical direction of the group, including development, support, and documentation of internal course development tools. Oversaw engineers in Chicago and Delhi, contributed technical portions of contracts, and acted as the client face of the technical team.Served as the primary architect of our our internal toolkit, including a .NET desktop application for editing course data in XML, templates in ColdFusion that would read that XML and convert it into a DHTML web application, and a portal site for managing the workflow of course development and review, built in DHTML, ColdFusion and SQL. Handled requirements gathering and user experience design for all three, and served as the primary developer for the latter two. These tools have been the foundation for thousands of hours of courseware.Responsible for interface design, technical design, and implementation, both for specific client projects and for company-wide infrastructure.
