Job Summary: This position is responsible for the supervision and coordination of activities for a team of operators and material handlers; customer communication, problem resolution and general management of shift functions.Responsibilities: •Plans, organizes and monitors the receiving, sequencing and/or shipment of materials to meet customer specifications for on-time delivery and quality standards. •Lead and direct team leaders on efficiency, quality and safety of operations. •Understands and demonstrates safe work practices and maintains a safe work environment •Conduct safety accident investigations as necessary •Reconcile all scanning issues. •Assist in receiving loads into WMS (Warehouse Management System) •Interprets customer specifications, and broadcast production pull, projection and/or receiving schedule to employees; plans work schedule and assigns duties. •Study production schedules and estimate work hour requirements for completion of job assignments. •Establish and adjust work procedures to meet production standards. •Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality standards. •Suggest changes in working conditions to increase efficiency of workflow and work crew. •Analyze and resolve work problems or assist employees in resolving work problems. •Assist Production Manager in improving a system of production control, standard operating procedures, safety, quality control, and performance management. •Recommends staffing requirements and assist in employee selection process, including promotions and transfers. •Confer with other operations leaders to coordinate activities among different shifts. •Comply and enforce all company policies and procedures. •Maintain and manage time attendance on company’s time keeping system. •Directs and supervises 10 or more hourly employees. •Plans and coordinates work, train and motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of operators and material handlers.

South County Location

Responsibilities include managing of all Operations and Customer Service departments for a 65,000 sq ft. facility, including all receiving, warehousing, distribution of home deliveries, store transfers, and customer pickups. Work in collaboration with General Manager to manage Visual and Sales departments when needed. Other responsibilities include Safety Director of Regional store as well as maintaining supply ordering.
