I specialized in post-menopausal osteoporosis clinical research. Through secondary analyses of the landmark bisphosphonate trials the Fracture Intervention Trial (FIT) and the FIT Long Term Extension (FLEX), I determined patterns and searched for predictors of bone mineral density (BMD) and bone turnover marker (BTM) changes after discontinuation of bisphosphonates. I also developed strategies to monitor women discontinuing bisphosphonates using Dual-energy X-Ray absorptiometry (DXA) and assessments of BTMs. For all of these studies I developed the study designs and analysis plans, performed all of the statistical analyses, and interpreted and presented the results.
