About Nicole Nelson
I am a graduate of Santa Clara University where I received a degree in Public Health Science and Political Science with minors in Biology and Spanish. As an avid scholar with a strong work ethic, I am always eager to dig deeper and ask the hard questions. This deep desire for knowledge and the interdisciplinary nature of my studies encouraged my "big picture" thinking and deep empathy for others. I am immensely privileged to have received such a high-quality education, that has instilled me with a robust set of practical skills that I hope to continue utilizing and growing throughout my career. My practical experience in research, healthcare, and non-profits was extremely formative in my understanding of the complex relationships between political, academic, medical, social, and economic institutions. In my various roles, I experienced firsthand how these systems of power can hinder or accelerate both short and long-term change. Additionally, these roles further facilitated my skills as a team player, a fast learner, an effective communicator of complex ideas, and a problem solver.Growing up in both Chilean and American cultures, gave me a profound understanding of the importance of being a global citizen. I thrive in diverse, innovative environments that promote the growth of human empathy and the creation of sustainable solutions. I hope to work in a role that looks to serve and collaborate with the larger global community. I recently returned from solo backpacking around the world. During my travels, I experienced a tremendous amount of self-growth and transformation. I hope to keep traveling in the future and somehow incorporate it into my future career. In my current role as a Customer Success Associate at DocMatter, I feel extremely fortunate to continue learning in a fast-paced, innovative environment filled with passionate, mission-driven individuals who care deeply about improving the world of medicine. I would love the opportunity to connect with folks to hear stories, share passions, and partake in meaningful conversation. Feel free to connect via LinkedIn or email me at nnelson@alumni.scu.edu
