As the Executive Vice President & Chief Information Officer from May 2014 to 2024, I led long-term technology objectives while ensuring compliance with DoD standards. I managed IT systems and infrastructure, including drafting and executing policy requirements for the organization and its subsidiaries. I directed the design and execution of on-premises and cloud network requirements, overseeing a $2M budget and leading a team of six direct reports. I developed and enforced IT policies aligned with DFARS and CMMC standards, conducting comprehensive GAP analyses and implementing action plans to achieve CMMC compliance. My role included managing cybersecurity measures, mitigating and documenting multiple cyber-attacks, and spearheading training initiatives to enhance cybersecurity awareness.I identified infrastructure gaps and collaborated with subject matter experts to advocate for continuous IT improvements across systems, infrastructure, and business processes. In vendor and contractor management, I cultivated and maintained relationships to optimize operational efficiency. As Corporate Secretary, I worked closely with legal counsel to ensure corporate compliance, manage legal entities, and protect intellectual property rights, ensuring ITAR compliance for material and technical data import and export.My leadership extended to managing and mentoring a team of Systems Engineers, Network Administrators, and Systems Administrators. I provided oversight for network and IT infrastructure, orchestrating the migration to Outlook and Azure and implementing multi-factor authentication to bolster cybersecurity defenses. In board leadership, I served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the 401K committee, contributing to strategic decision-making and governance oversight, and facilitating mergers and acquisitions.
