Being born into a poverty stricken family growing up I was always working odd jobs to help my family make ends meet, I would work with family in their perspective jobs for a few bucks per day so my pockets weren't so empty. Once I got to high school my life changed when I was connected with programs which helped me get solid jobs in retail and services having experience working in a barbershop, pharmacy, and phone repair shop. Once in college I was able to volunteer my time to Chicago's former mayor Lori Lightfoot's reelection campaign and I'm currently working at the Center for Research Libraries as a Library Access Services Aide.
