My job is to oversee the overall quality of the animation for the department by leading and critiquing daily progress, creating tent-pole animated performances for the character development and shot production, test and adjust character rigs as needed, develop techniques, tools and standards for production, perform, direct, capture and process in-house motion capture for production, work with other department leads to maintain an efficient overall pipeline, decide hiring and firing of crew, and attend client-facing reviews on behalf of the studio. During my time as supervisor I developed a studio adopted, multi-shot animation pipeline that is still in use today and developed a strong reputation for efficient and organized show supervision, especially shows with a large shot count, with a close relationship with production and management and a talent for creative thinking and problem solving. I have delivered dozens of shows in the last decade ranging from publicity stills to AAA films to commercials to ride films and alternative media.
