My role was to develop and kick start a big push for Anchorpoint into the UK wide Racking & Shelving market. This involved extensive new and existing client nurturing with client clients ranging from small local businesses to major blue chip companies such as Mitsubishi, Diageo and ASCo.To do this, I was responsible for all aspects of the design, pricing and presentation to our clients travelling across Scotland and using modern technology to communicate with clients South of the border.

A highly experienced design, sales and technical manager in the commercial interior and industrial facility fit-out market achieving sales in excess of £1 million a year for Modul8 since the company was formed in 2003. I was first employed following completion of my HNC in Architectural Technology to assist the sales team within Petrasco in the production of surveys and drawings and to assist the project management team with there dealings with suppliers, manufacturers and sub-contractors.I was then asked to progress into sales following the successful acquisition of the contract to set up and fit-out a new premises for a national plumbing & heating distributor in Stornoway and the successful completion of three other contracts with the same client in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Glenrothes.Following a number of changes at management level within the Storage & Interiors Division at Petrasco I was given the responsibility of being the main point of contact for clients both onshore and offshore, suppliers and manufacturers.My role was to take the initial call or cold call following a lead, initiate a brief from the client and follow the the project from doing my own design, costing the project, presenting to the client and then ensuring that our projects team completed the works to the high standards expected from both myself and the client. these works could be anything from a two offices to a complete turnkey to the fit out of a complete workshop and warehouse.

My main role as a part time employee was the smooth running of the driving range in regards the men responsible for the collection of the balls as well as the dealing with customers when paying for entry and the booking, etc of golf lessons with the PGA Professionals.I also, when required was employed to assist the professionals and assistants on the main shop floor.

As a trainee technician my role was to assist the Project Architects in the completion of land and building surveys and the subsequent preparation of survey and working drawings.At the end of my education I was given more responsibility by completing my own surveys as well as being given my first project to oversee from start to finish for the Diocese of Aberdeen under the watchful eye of one of the Senior Architects.One of my proudest moments was the completion on my own of the full survey of a large 3-Storey domestic property in the West End of Aberdeen and the completion of the survey plans and working drawings prior to the completion of the refurbishment.
