• Communication with business merchants on a daily basis, through phone calls, live chat and email.• Engaging in business conversations to help merchants be successful. These conversations had a wide range of variety, as Shopify provides such a wide platform for businesses to avail of. To name a couple of topics, conversations ranged from marketing tactics, business goals/ambitions and billing advice, to website design suggestions, software issue diagnosis + solving and business management.• I had the experience of communicating with my work colleagues on a daily basis to help each other out, by culminating new ideas to deal with any issues which arose. We empowered each other to come up with new ideas and workarounds for any complexities Shopify users came to us with.• While I conversed with my colleagues daily, I did in fact work remotely for my time with Shopify. It placed a responsibility on myself which I thrived in, by progressing my patience, organization and discipline levels vastly.• Preparing and delivering short presentations to showcase new ideas to work colleagues.• For a few months, I specialized in emails as oppose to communicating with merchants by phone and chats too. This was an experiment by Shopify to see if having email specialized gurus helped with email communication efficiency. I was chosen because of the written communication skills I showcased during my time with the Shopify, which are skills I worked on while striving for my Bachelor of Arts (English and Information technology) degree in college.

• Excellent customer service was of high importance within the company. It was my duty to create and maintain friendly relationships with our customers to uphold a welcoming image of our store, and entice customers to return regularly.• As a retail assistant, I carried out transactions within the shop, and made sure customers were attended to with any questions they had about our products and video rental policy.• I was required to have a keen interest in technological affairs, and keep up to date with the latest video and gaming entertainment news, which was one of my many hobbies already.
