William H. Zimmer Nuclear Power Plant

I was as certified as a Senior Reactor Operator on the BWR-6 Perry Simulator in Tulsa Oklahoma and was scheduled to sit for my NRC exam when construction was stopped on the William H. Zimmer Nuclear Power Plant. The plant was later converted to a super-critical coal plant.

I completed Nuclear Power School, Nuclear Power Prototype training, and Engineering Laboratory Technician schools. I stood watch as a Propulsion Plant Watch Supervisor and Engineering Laboratory Technician while stationed for about 4 years on the USS Nimitz CVN-68. I was also in-charge of the chemistry and radiological concerns of the ships number one.
