I proudly retired from the US Air Force after 20 years of dedicated service. My career has provided me with many opportunities to travel, countless learning opportunities and ultimately refined my abilities to both work safely and efficiently in often changing environments. I spent 14 years working as a maintainer on both the HH-60 Helicopter and the KC-10 refueling aircraft. In this field I learned how to not only work with my hands and follow standard operating procedures, but to also troubleshoot unforeseen problems while maintaining situational awareness and focus in demanding situations. I also spent 4 years as a recruiter for the Air Force, and learned a lot about customer service, public speaking, and being relational during that time. After retiring from the Air Force I started working for Bell & Howell as a Customer Service Engineer. This position is an independent/ unsupervised technical role consisting of troubleshooting machines, planning/scheduling preventative maintenance, purchasing parts, inventory management, all while adhering to Bell Howell's safety policies and procedures.
