I studied computer science for 4 years, 3 months before earning my degree. I began pondering the type of work I want to pursue for the rest of my life. I enrolled in LEARN Academy, a coding bootcamp. Although it was a difficult challenge, the learning that came from the challenging four months of backend and frontend coding was worthwhile. I've always had a passion for playing video games, and I felt like my abilities were improving. It was fun to make my own apps with my classmates. At the beginning of my first month, I was completely disoriented, but everyone was very kind and helpful. Even my classmates tried their hardest to teach me and pushed me to keep going. Because of this, I made use of my resources on YouTube, Github, LinkedIn, Overstack Flow, FreeCodeCamp, Udemy, and Code Wars. After completing a coding bootcamp, they also offer internships at other businesses. It was fantastic that I was a front-end software developer in the Minority Programmers Association. I had a great time there for five months and learned a lot from many developers. They even taught me some new keyboard shortcuts and some coding-friendly websites. Now I work at the hospital as a materials specialist 2 seeking for a tech job with my computer science degree along with my certificates. I still code on my free time and still learning until this day because there is always room to gain so much knowledge in the tech industry.
