Temporary Administrative Assistant
Public Relations Coordinator
For this position, I oversaw a small group of SUNY Oswego undergraduate students (both volunteer and interns) in creating a social media presence for the Hall Newman Center, a Catholic Campus Ministry service for SUNY Oswego. I would delegate different aspects of Public Relations to my team members such as graphic design, social media content, video production, and outreach programs. I helped re-establish the Newman Center's presence on X and TikTok by reactivating the accounts after several years of being dormant. I also would create weekly agendas to organize the meetings to discuss updates on current projects and new projects to start.
Graduate Assistant
For this position, I completed a multitude of different tasks and responsibilities. My first semester I went around to different undergraduate classes and promoted the Strategic Communication Master's Program for recruitment. I also helped set up and test virtual reality (VR) equipment for a small VR lab. I continue to stop into the lab every so often to update the Oculus software and the laptops used. In my second semester, I assisted a professor in the broadcasting department with coding qualitative research. The research he conducted analyzed Twitter reactions to a music countdown based on the emotional feeling each tweet possessed. My job was to help go through the Google Sheet full of over ten thousand tweets and search for duplicates, eliminate retweets, and serve as a second coder. In my third and fourth semesters, I continued to promote the Strat Comm Program and update the VR equipment, and I also became a TA for a business class: Strategic Communication in Business. For this class, I taught some modules on APA Citations and Ethical Business Practices, held office hours twice a week for students to come with questions, built quizzes for the class, and assisted the professor with smaller, everyday tasks.
Editor/Writing Intern
This was a fun internship. I did a lot of writing and editing for articles that appeared in some of the editions of the East Fishkill Living Magazine. I also got to edit and sometimes write bios for financial advisors, branch managers, and some other employees of Morgan Stanley. It was a lot of fun to see the inner mechanisms of a magazine company from behind the scenes. I would also help my boss reach out to new potential clients to advertise by researching local ads and local company websites to input information in HubSpot.
Sacristan
Here, I set up the mass and assist the priest during the mass to assure it runs smoothly.
Tour Guide
I show potential students who are thinking of attending Le Moyne College the campus and what the school has to offer in order for them to get the most out of their college experience.
Note Taker
Here, I wrote down notes for various classes in a notebook. Then, I would transcribe the notes into a word document to upload to Google Drive. The notes would be given to people who may have trouble taking notes in class, someone with a disability, or someone who has been injured and cannot take notes themselves.
Video Production Intern
For my internship, I manned cameras and microphones in order to film various sketches and promotional materials. I edited several of those promotional materials with Adobe Premiere. There were a few that I starred in myself! A lot of my material has been posted on Twitter and YouTube.
Promotions Intern
Here, I assist the Promotions manager to create ideas for the games in between innings, and collaborate with Renegades staff/other interns to create themes for specific nights.
Maintenance Worker
Note: This was a seasonal job and only was worked during the summers of 2018 and 2019.
