Cosmetic component and filling manufacturing. Departments included: Assembly, Filling, Molding, Lacquer and Buffing. Managed up to 600 employees with a staff of 12 at Risdon's and 6 during my time at topline.Started both companies from the ground up including the training of the employees on procedures and equipment that they have never been exposed to in the past. Negotiated with several brokers looked at over 25 facilities before choosing the site that was suited best for the company. Did the hiring of the staff including: HR, Logistics, Technical, Finance, Production Mngr. and Quality Mngr and Legal. Worked with Union for the direct labor. Researched reviewed quotes from several contractors before building of the infrastructure.Responsibilities – Work with corporate and staff on the P&L/EBITDA * Keeping costs to a minimum by communicating and monitoring budget with staff and other cost influential parties including in-direct and direct labor persons * Constant negotiating with vendors to keep prices to a minimum * Staff performance reviews* Salary negotiations * Union negotiations * Working with engineering on process improvements and new launches * Work with product design/development * Strategic Planning to meet company goals* Insure all safety guidelines are being met. * Insure that all of the environmental requirements are met * New product launch quoting * Cross Training employees* Work with customers on new launch approvals and standards * Release and hire persons based on volume/forecast. *
