While incarcerated, a lot of my focus was on social rehabilitation. I helped create and sustain an all-inclusive space in a world dominated by segregation. We used Dungeons & Dragons as a method of attracting people from all races, genders, and belief systems. We played only good characters and role-played our real life problems. As a community, our games gave real life solutions. I enrolled and graduated from The Last Mile computer coding program with flying colors. I used the skills I learned in this program to become a Teaching Assistant for The Last Mile and continued to build community. I also became a Web Developer while incarcerated and worked on several different websites for outside companies. I have utilized the community building ideas gained from this experience in all aspects of my life. I want to build apps and develop ideas that solve problems using community based solutions.
