I work on a development team that is responsible for creating an Individual Health Record. Our application reads in claims from numerous systems and converts them to a FHIR format which are then made available to end users. I have developed numerous Kafka Streams applications written in Java that are deployed into Kubernetes. I am the lead developer on our End to End Testing application that deploys each component of the IHR into Kubernetes and has full integration with Kafka, Mongo DB, Git, and JFrog's Artifactory. It has reduced the time needed by our QA team to test upgrades to every aspect of the IHR from months to days.

I worked as an Engineer on the Open Source Flexible Infrastructure team where I supported multiple Kubernetes Production Clusters. I have conducted numerous proof of concepts on various Kubernetes functionalities. I Implemented a Helm chart for Kafka that included mutual SSL and certificate-based authorization. As part of my role I created and enforced Pod Security Policies and Network Policies within Kubernetes. I worked as a Data Architect on the Open Source Flexible Infrastructure team. I worked on setting up and supporting a Multi Tenant open source Kubernetes Cluster and a Multi Tenant Open Source DCOS/Mesos cluster. Previously my team had a focus on Big Data where I worked on designing end to end solutions for our tenants using various parts of the hadoop ecosystem such as Spark Streaming, MapR Streams/Kafka, MapR DB/Hbase, etc. I designed a custom built monitoring application for our hadoop cluster that pulls in various types of data such as statistics from the job history server and resource manager. This data is then displayed at a tenant/queue level within a web ui with dashboards and visualizations. In addition, I administered an Elasticsearch cluster and provide support for the entire Elastic Stack(Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, and Beats).

It consisted of two rotations:I was on the Big Data Platform as a Service team where I learned about Hadoop and did testing and proof of concepts on various tools within the Hadoop ecosystem. After my time in the TDP program I took on a full time role with this team.2) I was a Splunk Developer where I developed a strong understanding of Splunk.
