Created and implemented lab designs that facilitated support of legacy Wimax systems alongside new LTE systems. This enabled testing of both systems simultaneously reducing the overall footprint and equipment requirements for lab testing. Created designs and procedures enabling the integration of Sprint and Clearwire cell sites. This initiative allowed for the decommissioning of Clearwire core sites and saved Sprint almost $900,000 in monthly recurring costs. Supported the Clearwire production transport network. Maintained the Clearwire lab, supporting the Clearwire network as well as Airspan small cell element management systems and small cell devices.

Performed field integration testing and verification of Sprint small cell products. Created procedures streamlining the installation process reducing cost to Sprint for small cell installations by third party vendors. Managed FOA (first office application) for small cells in the production network. Working with network development teams, identify and prioritize features and fix validations as well as standard regression tests. Successful FOA’s resulted in greater customer experience and reduced churn of Sprint subscribers. Manage drive test teams executing test plans. Evaluate test results and KPIs, develop test result reports and present to national audience for buyoff and deployment.

Developed, tested, and delivered integration procedures for core switch replacement and upgrades, migrating from Ciena 5305 switches to Ciena 5410 switches. Worked on behalf of ClearwirePerformed major core architecture upgrades to accommodate higher capacity and redundancy. The upgrades constituted migrating from 10 Gbps cores to 40 Gbps cores in the regional data centers. The equipment involved in the upgrades were Cisco 7609 routers, Sandvine PTS24K Policy Traffic Switches, and Ciena 5410 and 5305 Service Aggregation Switches. Performed Sonet transport capacity augments utilizing Loopstar LS800/1600/3600 Access System that involved upgrades from OC-3 and 12 to OC-48. Performed upgrades to metro rings upgrading to 10, 20 and 40 Gigabit Ethernet links. Created detailed integration documents and methods of procedures used for application on customer facing networks. Department representative in the FOA process, which entailed project planning, identifying migration strategies, method of procedure creation, documentation, and execution. Performed network audit and failover testing. Worked within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
