About Brian Scott

Brian has spent his career building consensus and unlikely coalitions toward livable communities. He thrives when he is creating consensus leadership, meaningful places, impactful organizations, and inclusive processes. He is a widely respected facilitator, public speaker, and project leader with dozens of professional awards and volunteer assignments to his credit. He helped form some of the first Place Management Districts nationwide, and has facilitated district planning efforts for downtown organizations in over a dozen states. Brian served on the International Downtown Association board of directors twice and taught downtown revitalization and urban design at Portland State University for 10 years, where he also holds a Ph.D. in Urban Studies.
