Responsible for performing tests on several Raw Materials and Finished Goods in an ISO 9000/14000 Certified Coatings Laboratory. Finished products are waterborne based acrylics and polyurethanes. Experienced in running pH, Viscosity, Percent Solids, Film, Particle Size, Koenig Hardness, Gloss, MFFT, Karl Fisher Water Content, Hydroxyl Value, Isocyanate Content via Autotitrator, FTIR analysis, and Turbidity. Responsible for providing production with adjustments to batches, such as water for solids, thickener for viscosity, and Ammonium Hydroxide for pH. Responsible for making all purchase orders for lab supplies. Responsible for making sure our partial totes and drums are added to new batches to prevent excessive inventory. I also send a monthly report detailing what off-spec material was reworked or disposed. Also serve as a QA Technician by making sure raw materials for batches are correct, and that batch recipes are being followed correctly. Experienced in SAP data entry. I was in charge of running the Sampling Department, sending out numerous products to current and potential customers.
