Brian R. Smith is a Partner in the Commercial Real Estate Practice Group at Arnall Golden Gregory, LLP. In addition to his general real estate practice, Mr. Smith has extensive experience in the negotiation of complex leasing transactions relating to retail, office and warehouse properties.Mr. Smith focuses his practice on the representation of large national and local retail, office and warehouse developers and owners, as well as local and national tenants. Mr. Smith is also experienced in the negotiation of various related real estate transactions, such as purchase and sale agreements, easement agreements, operating agreements, joint venture agreements, asset purchase agreements, workout agreements, indemnification agreements, non-disclosure agreements, commission agreements, non-disturbance agreements, and other negotiations which frequently arise in connection with the acquisition, ownership, management and sale of commercial real estate.Mr. Smith is involved with various civic, arts and philanthropic causes. Mr. Smith serves as member of the Board of Directors of The Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers' Foundation, and is currently the President of its Junior Board. Mr. Smith is also member of the Board of Directors of Georgia Lawyers for the Arts. For a number of years, Mr. Smith has also served as a member of the Junior Board of Camp Twin Lakes, with which Mr. Smith was selected to chair “Camp Dance 2012,” the Junior Board’s annual fundraiser attended by approximately 1,200 young professionals. Mr. Smith also serves as a member of the Class of 2006 Scholarship Committee for Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law.
