Over the past 23 years I've had the opportunity to lead some of the most complex and politically sensitive environmental restoration programs in the country. My work has ranged from back-country plant and wildlife surveys for the Air Force and power companies in southern Arizona and New Mexico; collaboration with state and federal agencies in investigation and removal of multiple contaminants of concern across a number of operational sites on a national wildlife refuge in Illinois; field sampling and surveys of soil, water, plants and animals across the Coeur d'Alene River Basin in northern Idaho to help guide USEPA remedial strategy development; developing the largest Natural Resource Damage Assessment bird claim in history; and restoration planning across the Gulf of Mexico and in target areas in the upper mid-west, Canada, Mexico, Caribbean, and elsewhere for sea turtles, gulf sturgeon, and numerous bird species. The science, collaborations and strategic planning I spearheaded to accomplish this work continues to guide hundreds of millions of dollars of restoration activities. I am passionate about protecting and restoring habitats and the fish and wildlife they support. I have thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with a number of talented natural resource practitioners across the U.S. and abroad, and look forward to opportunities to continue to translate my experience, skill, and relationships into results that support fish and wildlife and their habitats for many years to come.
