My responsibilities at Dart Container include accounting for our sales subsidiary including journal entries, financial analysis, and financial reporting. I also record financial transactions for many of our affiliates. Our company went live with SAP on January 1, 2014, giving me some experience with one of the top ERP computer systems in the world. I have spent many hours over the last six months on the cross over from our dated legacy computer system to SAP, including validating transactions being transferred from legacy to SAP, testing processes, and verifying account mapping results.

I was a member of the Board of Directors involved in strategic business planning, including reviewing contracts, cost analysis/containment, and acquisition financial analysis. I also was responsible for all financial reporting in compliance with GAAP, general ledger, A/R, A/P, fixed asset records, budgeting and variance analysis, and reports as requested by other managers.

For approximately three years I was a general accountant, responsible for making general ledger entries, analyzing accounts to maintain their integrity, assist the Controller in financial statement preparation and prepare any other reports he requested.For my last three years at Peabody Myers I was the Cost Accounting Manager, responsible for maintaining the standard cost accounting records in conjunction with the engineering and purchasing departments. This was a great experience to work with all levels of management throughout the organization. Peabody Myers' main product lines were relatively complex, truck mounted equipment that was marketed and sold worldwide through a dealership network.

Participated in audits of privately-held companies in various industries, prepared tax returns for companies and high net-worth individuals, and prepared financial statements for clients at this CPA firm.
