Authored and maintained the User’s Logistics Support Summary, System Maintenance Manual, and training documentation for the Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense and Anti-submarine Warfare Trainer (CIAT). Developed and maintained the component database in CSA and iPDM and worked with PROSOFT and Crane to create the site Gateway, trouble ticket and tech assistance forms, and INCO reporting forms on iPDM.COTS (Commercial off the shelf) configuration management including submitting obsolescence vendor part surveys, combining FRACAS information, and determining life time buys or configuration changes for end of life products.

Directed and organized the daily operations of 24 electronics maintenance personnel in the maintenance, repair, inspection, and testing of 3,500 components, assemblies, sub-assemblies, modules, and printed circuit boards for communications/ navigation/radar systems, ensuring proper quality control procedures were followed for all 35 LCACs (Landing Craft Air Cushion).Managed the CSMP (Current Ship’s Maintenance Project) and PMS (Planned Maintenance System) for combat systems, which led to a reduction in corrective maintenance actions by 50% and a 98% preventive maintenance completion ratio during the first year, resulting in a 30% increase in LCAC readiness while staying on schedule and within budget.Failure analysis of combat systems and HM&E circuit cards led to the selection of 15 high fail circuit cards to develop test routines for component level troubleshooting led to an increased cost savings and helped reduced downtime caused by long lead times on new circuit card assemblies. Resulted in over a $300,000 cost savings to the Navy and recognition as one of the top circuit board repair facilities on the east coast. Revamped the electrical safety program by stepping up the enforcement of proper electrical equipment tag-out procedures and performing weekly audits to ensure all procedures were followed and corrective action and training was provided when discrepancies were noted. Reviewed and submitted changes to the command tag-out instruction and qualification line items to close the gaps in training deficiencies from the old program.

Managed combat systems equipment readiness to include preventive and corrective maintenance, and casualty reporting on all communications, radar, navigation, weapons, and computer systems within a nine ship carrier strike group. Departmental Leading Petty Officer in charge of N6 communications department. Led a team that invested over 900 man-hours establishing 55 computer workstations to include the installation of 120 NMCI computers, 45 telephones and a 31K video teleconferencing system to support the commands move from USS Nimitz to building 2133 at Everett Naval Station.

Provided on-site and distance technical assistance , training, assessments and repairs for UNIX based message processing systems, satellite commutation systems, and secure telecommunications systems. Provided total ship readiness assessments and technical assist visits on all ships stationed in the Norfolk area.

Managed nine personnel in the micro-miniature repair, tool issue, and HYDRA radio workcenters. Saved the Navy $950,000 in repairs as ENTERPRISE continued to be ranked the foremost micro miniature repair shop in savings for the Navy.

Combat Systems Electronics "A" School Instructor, supervise and instructs up to 25 students per class in both classroom content and laboratories teaching hands on how to troubleshoot complex communication and radar systems. Qualified as Master Training Specialist.

Supervised 6 sailors in the preventive and corrective maintenance of 43 transmitters (SHF/UHF/EHF/VHF), 15 receivers, 43 antennas/couplers, and all ancillary equipment.
