As the Naval Officer-in-Charge West Bengal, conducted all operations and administered all the assets and establishments of the Indian Navy in the state, including liaison with the state govt and numerous other govt and civil agencies in coordinating Coastal Security in the state, being a Trustee on the Board of Trustees of the Port of Kolkata and a Commissioner of the Board for the Rabindra Setu (Kolkata).

Dive Supervisor and diver for underwater Mine Clearance and Bomb & Explosive disposal, Deep Diving and Submarine Rescue, Saturation Diving ({HSE-3 & Supervisor} with INPP France), Industrial Radiography Site Supervisor.Breathing gases used - Compressed air, mixed gas, oxygen, closed circuit and heliox mixtures.Equipment used – qualified in a range of equipment ex UK, USA, Russia, France and Sweden. SCUBA, wide variety of self contained equipment, rebreathers, Hardhat and Superlite series.Dive Supervisor experience - • Dives in remote locations, offensive/attack dives, wreck and salvage dives, underwater repairs on ships, submarines, dams, bridges.• Compression chamber complexes in compressed air, oxygen, mixed gas, and heliox saturation dives.• Planning and conduct of complex and prolonged diving operations from high altitude to saturation diving (200 meters).• Conducted submarine rescue drills and underwater recovery of personnel.• Trials - Carried out evaluation and trials of variety of diving eqpt and systems including of Saturation Diving complex on DSV.

Specially selected for attachment in the Strategic Planning Directorate of the Indian Army and responsible for initiating and pursuing strategic thought and military-to-military exchanges with South East Asian countries.

Headed the planning, staffing, budgeting, technology-management and operations of the Indian Navy’s Marine Commandos and Diving cadre.
