Brian is passionate about helping design teams make informed, early decisions through modeling and simulation of building performance. For over 23 years, he has applied his expertise in energy and building physics to design high performance buildings which are healthy to live and work in, are affordable to operate, and work in harmony with the environment. He is eager to partner with design teams to pursue the net zero carbon goals of the AIA 2030 and MEP 2040 Challenges.Brian served as a founding director of Hampton Roads Green Building Council, a USGBC chapter. He has served on ASHRAE and IBPSA committees and speaks at chapter meetings, conferences, and universities on building energy and sustainability topics.Specialties: Energy modeling and life cycle cost analysis, daylighting and hygrothermal modeling, carbon accounting, renewable energy systems, measurement & verification of project energy savings, mechanical engineering systems design.
