I play a pivotal role in coordinating our district's beginning teacher support and mentoring programs, designing and facilitating the infrastructure of new teacher induction with targeted orientations, professional development, and support measures that ensure the highest quality employee experience. Developing quality relationships with a variety of stakeholders, from central office administrators to principals has always been a priority to ensure the shared decision making and perspective required to effectively manage a district-wide initiative. I have extensive experience in developing and presenting professional development in instructional planning, mentoring, collaborating with colleagues, creating equitable classroom culture, self-care, and mindfulness. Prior to assuming a leadership role at the district office, I excelled as a middle school classroom teacher for 13 years, serving as a mentor and cooperating teacher for University of North Carolina at Chapel-Hill. I have also served as a consultant for private sector companies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of new employee induction, mentorship, and retention programs.
