Originally I was a 6th grade Educator teaching Mathematics and Science, The 19 years I spent doing that job thought me how to be extremally organized as well as the necessity of planning and looking to the future. I also learned many valuable skills in the areas of efficiency and productivity. Time is always against a teacher and learning how to move and pivot in a moments notice is key to survival in the order of 11 and 12 year old's. Teaching also gave me opportunities to work as part of team as well as be a leader withing the building. Working with other educators can be tough when time is limited. So when their is opportunity to plan and collaborate using that time effectively is key. As leader in these situations preparedness is essential. Knowing what needs to be accomplished and keeping ideas flowing in the right direction is a must. You also learn how to listen as leader. Being cognizant of others ideas how those might apply is a critical skill.As I transitioned to roll of Technology Director within the district the leadership has grown. Being responsible for every aspect of the district's technological needs provides opportunity for growth everyday. Trouble shooting issues is a daily task as is learning new skills in order to solve those issues. Prioritizing tasks is also a major portion of my current position. Understanding what is critical as well as having the understanding that most people think their problem's are critical is key to fixing what needs to be fixed on time and correctly.I consider myself to be organized, reliable, punctual, and loyal. I set high standards for myself as well as for those that work with. I work to the best of my ability in everything that I do.
