I'm part of the ownership team here at Aethera, and I enjoy helping to shape our technical direction. My focus is on embedded systems and digital signal processing. Most of our projects require a control system including software, and I'm heavily involved with their design and implementation. With our current work largely involving radio frequency (RF) systems, my previous experience has been invaluable.I'm an electrical engineer with a masters from Dalhousie University that focused on digital communication systems. I've worked on various wireless standards such as OFDM, and designed modulator and demodulator algorithms. One of my favourite challenges is to take a desired signal and to improve the performance as it passes through a high power amplifier. In my past work at Nautel, I worked on the signal processing and control for a variety of high power amplifier systems, from AM and FM to LORAN and SONAR.
