Over the years in cultivating strong business relationships I’ve found my niche in helping large industrial producers increase profitability through an outcome-based approach. The exciting part is that every application has it’s own unique characteristics but the process of discovery, building relationships, and articulating value in the end result provides consistency. A core strength, and a component of my role which I enjoy very much, is developing strong annual and multi-year business growth plans. I’m naturally a big picture thinker which is a quality put to good use when orchestrating strategic industry plans. This is an area I get to release some creativity be it in the form of targeting specific markets based on recent capital investments, or mapping out a development plan for system integrator partners. Attending events and participating in associations is a strategy I subscribe to. In the mining industry I’m a member of the MSABC and local CIM chapter. For general process automation I’m an active member of our local ISA section. Most of my time from a product focus is spent on distributed controls systems; Rockwell Automation’s PlantPAx. When not discussing the control layer, I’m quite comfortable discussing asset reliability, basic cybersecurity, and supporting services.
