Brian Wright joined Team Rick Scott (U.S. Senate Campaign) in early 2023, bringing with him experience working with Senator Marco Rubio and Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody. Brian's area of expertise includes external affairs, political affairs, and media relations. In addition to his role at Team Rick Scott, Brian is a graduate school candidate for the Masters of Public Administration from Florida State University. Brian began his political career as a regional representative in the Office of Senator Marco Rubio. Representing nine counties, he was a key regional staffer during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. During his time, he navigated the Paycheck Protection Program, helping business owners and constituents connect with banks facilitating those loans, and reaching out to the Department of Economic Opportunity for those seeking unemployment benefits.Brian was tapped to join Attorney General Ashley Moody's external affairs team in the summer of 2021. Within one year, he worked his way up from Coordinator to Deputy Director of External Affairs. Shortly after, Brian landed a promotion to Director of External Affairs, coordinating public & external affairs for the entire state of Florida on behalf of Florida’s Attorney General Ashley Moody. Brian was tapped to join Senator Rick Scott's 2024 reelection campaign as Director of External Affairs in the summer of 2023. During his time, Brian oversaw dozens of press conferences and over 200 events throughout the state of Florida.Brian lives in Tampa, Florida, with his wife, Jessica.
