I wake up every morning determined to change the world and have one hell of a good time. It sometimes makes planning the day somewhat difficult. A visionary sees the future and prepares for it. A futurist stands in the future and pull the world to to them. I consider myself a futurist and difference maker. Things that make me a difference maker:1. I sincerely care enough to make an difference.2. I have a clear sense of the changes I want to make.3. I am endlessly patient about implementing strategy, though I am impatient with details.4. I try to ask the right questions, and that means early and often I listen more than twice as much as I talk. However, I mostly ignore naysayers and empty criticism.5. I watch what people do rather than just believe whatever they tell me.6. I innovate and create at the edges, often ignoring the "collective wisdom".7. I design services that advance people to become included economically and contributing members of the community. This drives me instead of trying to find clients for conventional services.8. I understand that one needs to give people the story to tell: the "you gotta see this" moment.9. I work hard to change how people feel by getting people invested in the intangible value in the new culture they must create to embrace.10. I understand that trust is the most valuable leadership asset. 11. I am fine with being wrong for the right reasons.12. I believe being a disruptor is the only way to make substantive, lasting change.13. I'd rather reinvent the world than save it. 14. I believe in the abundant power of community.
