Real change requires a "big ideas" approach to reform and a get-it-done strategy for public policy efforts. In education, we shouldn't make kids wait for things to get better. I serve as Director of Education Policy Studies at the Rockefeller Institute of Government, the research arm of the state university system. I also am the President of EdReform & Strategy Consulting, an Albany-area organization that consults on a broad range of issues surrounding the improvement of K-12 education. I am a passionate advocate for providing ALL children with access to high-quality education options. In all the years I've focused on stimulating innovation, accountability, and choice in the education landscape, it is clear to me that big dreams -- coupled with smart plans and hard work -- is what will change the world for our students.
