I sought to identify issues with and improve company policies and procedures with a goal of improving company performance and minimizing risk and liability. I oversaw both our company litigation and transactional practice groups, and I managed our department budget. I reviewed and drafted contracts across a wide array of business functions, including marketing, academic and student-related agreements, SaaS contracts, and other key corporate contracts. I collaborated with colleagues across the company on data security and privacy issues. I advised and coordinated legal support for new business ventures. I oversaw our company's corporate ethics function, and I served as the Assistant Corporate Secretary for our several affiliated companies.I led legal support efforts in connection with a national re-branding campaign. I led creation of an automated, in-house litigation hold system for the company, and I designed and implemented a uniform subpoena response protocol. I developed guiding principles for the work of my department, initiated steps to improve employee engagement, and created a department intranet page with useful information for our internal clients.
