In the IT industry, you naturally progress towards a specialization. Over the past 12 years, I have been heavily focused on migration of workloads to the Microsoft cloud. All the while I have witnessed a powerhouse of functionality developing with Microsoft cloud technologies such as Microsoft 365 and Azure. This movement led me to launch Get Cloud Savvy, so I can focus my efforts on helping educate customers and colleagues on the evolving capabilities in Microsoft 365 and Azure. I developed training curriculum for Dell software solutions used to migrate customers to Office 365. I leveraged blended learning solutions and methods to teach and certify partners, customers and employees on Dell software solutions. When Dell announced the acquisition of EMC, they also announced Dell Software would be sold. I looked for outside opportunities as the merger of Dell and EMC would potentially lead to job cuts.

I supported my team in a number of capacities including unified communications practice lead for the San Antonio office, technical pre-sales support and consulting delivery. I assisted customers with many different types of engagements ranging from large scale Active Directory and Exchange migrations for enterprise customers to smaller consulting and training efforts, most notably with Microsoft Deployment Planning Services for Exchange and Lync. This is where I discovered my passion for training.
