Responsible for managing translational research programs and projects sponsored by the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) within the Harvard Catalyst. Effectively collaborate with world leading scientists to manage complex and cutting-edge projects across a variety of biomedical disciplines. Also responsible for managing special projects that have received additional financial support from Harvard Catalyst due to their clinical and translational potential.

Assist scientists/entrepreneurs, who seek start-up funding, in refining the scientific and technical aspects of their business plans.

Responsible for expanding the size and visibility of the Antibody Products Portfolio by identifying, analyzing and implementing action plans for new business opportunities. Based on internal needs or client interests, initiated and managed antibody development projects or in-licensed antibodies to increase the strength of the product portfolio. Established productive consulting relationships with key opinion leaders to better anticipate future needs for new antibody products.

Initiated, led and project-managed several, synthetic chemical and protein-based projects directed towards a variety of novel targets, e.g., a multi-functional, intracellular enzyme; a novel, G-protein coupled receptor; a glycoprotein involved in hemostasis; and a cell-surface, pattern-recognition receptor. In these capacities:• Effectively organized teams and defined project objectives, strategies and milestones in collaboration with scientists from other functional units within Drug Discovery Research.• Identified external key-opinion-leaders and established: i) productive consulting agreements to access their target expertise; and ii) research collaborations to obtain valuable research tools, assays and animal models for advancing discovery projects.• Presented successful scientific proposals and project progress reports enabling senior management to make appropriate Go/No Go decisions.
