Joined McTear's in 1987 as Auction Sales Clerk, then becoming Saleroom Manager and Director in 2004. As Owner and Managing Director since, my key role has been to make the company the best of its type and increase sales year on year.I assist visiting customers at McTear's Valuations Counters in Glasgow, additionally I visit clients at their homes, advising on the sale and value of art, jewellery and antiques collections, liaising with McTear's specialist departments when required. Fixed Fee Valuations are prepared daily for solicitors firms throughout the UK, for Estate purposes and for Insurance. We also offer free verbal advise on complete estate clearances.I have brought together a team of qualified enthusiastic and talented individuals, together we have grown to offer a style of service seen in only a handful of auction houses outside of London. With dedicated departments and specialists in Scottish Pictures, Contemporary Art, Asian Works of Art, Rare & Collectable Whisky and Jewellery, to name a few, our broad spectrum of expertise is largely unequalled in our competitors.
