I am an award-winning writer, author, actor, commentator, stand-up comic and broadcaster with experience working in television, podcasts, radio, and live stage performance. I have been called a “renaissance man” by the press and I possess exceptional writing skills and a keen eye for details. I am the playwright and performer of Not a Genuine Black Man, the longest running solo play in San Francisco theatrical history as well as author of the bestselling memoir of the same name. I am also the writer and performer of four subsequent hit solo shows. My written work can be found in The Los Angeles Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, The San Francisco Examiner and Prism. My first fiction novel, Outraged, was published in May of 2024 by Black Odyssey Media. The second book in the series, SHADOWS OF JUSTICE, will be published in the spring of 2025. In June of 2024, I signed a deal for two more novels starring my investigator, Topher Davis in the next two years.As a film actor, I’ve had featured roles in Warner Brothers’ The Bucket List and Sony’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage. As a standup comic, I’ve opened for artists such as Smokey Robinson, Ringo Starr, Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles in venues from The Universal Amphitheater to Constitution Hall. I’ve been a fixture in Bay Area broadcasting years hosting shows for the local PBS, FOX, ABC and NBC affiliates. For over two decades I hosted my own talk radio show on the San Francisco ABC affiliate. I am currently working with Warner Brothers, director Rob Reiner and Castlerock Entertainment to develop Not a Genuine Black Man for television.In 2024, I was cast in a feature role in the upcoming film, THIS IS SPINAL TAP 2.
