CurrentThe Director of Identity and Converged Platforms is responsible for strategy, budget, management, and day-to-day operations of several 24/7/365 enterprise services for DIT. These services include Identity Management, Platform Services (Server Hosting), Storage, Endpoint Management, and Cloud Services. Responsible for designing these services to support the mission and goals of the agency, and for ensuring the security of the systems and the privacy of any data contained within those systems. Meet with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the services being offered provide value and remain relevant to customer needs in a rapidly evolving IT landscape. Regularly meet with vendors to create trusted partnerships, leading to greater understanding of needs and higher levels of service from those partners.The state's identity management system, NCID, manages more than 1.5 million identities for state employees, businesses, and residents doing business with the state or receiving care at state supported medical facilities. NCID is the highest visibility application operated by DIT, and the only DIT operated application directly utilized by the public. Platform Services provides platform-as-a-server service, managing 2,500 servers across two data centers. This team manages Windows, Linux, AIX, and Solaris operating systems, as well as the server hardware. The team ensures that systems are configured according to best practices, maintains operating system patches, and responds to audit requests from state and federal regulators.The DIT Cloud Services team creates and manages cloud environments in supported public clouds. The team is responsible for the security and management of DIT managed cloud environments, creating standardized and secure infrastructure for agency use. DIT Cloud Services also provides a simplified user interface for deploying servers in any supported cloud without the customer having to understand the intricacies of each public cloud.
