Organically grew a team of specialists in software engineering, big data, surveillance, advanced analytics, market microstructures and quantitative analysis who develop applications and algorithms, using in-house surveillance and third party/open-source analytics tools, to unlock patterns from the c. 180million orders, trades and transactions received on a daily basis. MBi is considered, by our regulatory peers, as one of leading global business and technology innovators in the fight against market abuse. Under my leadership and strategic direction, the team recently re-engineered all legacy systems to support the very large and complex MIFID2 data-sets. More specifically, built new business and technology capabilities (based on AWS cloud, machine-learning, big-data processing (Spark/Scala), elastic map reduce, columnar/graph databases, SMARTS & Spotfire visualisation applications and Redshift database) that provide consistent and dynamic views, provide new insights and transform the way case and investigation officers triage, process and enforce intelligence leads. Recruited to head the FSA’s Authorised Reporting Mechanism (ARM) with all development, operations and call-centre functions outsourced to Logica. My role also included to strengthen the Trade Monitoring Unit (part of the Markets Division) as a business and technical SME. - Ensured stability in the current TRS system, operations and support to over 500+ regulated clients/firms.- Lead on the strategic review that resulted in an agreement to sell the asset to appropriate commercial entity. Worked with PwC and external council to develop an Investment Management proposition including future revenue and business model. Pitched to the short-listed candidates and worked with Competition Authority to seek sign-off for the eventual buyer (LSE Unavista). Also, worked with the LSE to migrate all clients to the Unavista platform on a frictionless basis. - Seconded into the Zen MiFID1 programme as a board member and assisted in bringing the project to fruition

Xtrakter, formerly ICMA Ltd, is a provider of capital markets data, operational risk management, trade matching and regulatory reporting services to the global securities market. Recent achievements in this role included: Development of real time straight-through-processing capabilities for the OTC cash bond market between sell-side participants from trade execution, confirmation and matching to settlement at Euroclear Bank SA/NV. Artefacts included message interface specifications, liability model, legal documentation, marketing collateral, market practice guidelines, user testing facilities and training, and operational & contingency procedures.

Responsible for engaging with clients, including banks, investment managers, fund administrators, hedge funds and information vendors, to:- Discover their product and services needs- Develop business requirements and investment strategies- Produce and manage product roadmaps- Establish ownership of products during development lifecycle- Develop marketing and communications strategiesKey achievements:- Developed several new product offerings, including fixed income mark-to-market valuation and price testing service; net asset valuation service; time-series data; OTC liquidity service; fixed income reference data; retail investor bond information service; hosted trade matching and reporting service; and audit facilities for FSA transaction reporting.

ICMA is a self regulatory organisation representing 500+ members comprising investment banks, regional and central banks, stock exchanges, asset managers and legal firms in over 45 countries. In 2007 the business was rebranded as Xtrakter Ltd.Recruited to lead the customer relationship management team (5 persons), service desk (5 persons) and compliance team (2 persons), including budgets, objectives and service level standards. Role included:- Client facing responsibilities for all products and services, including trade matching, regulatory reporting; fixed income reference and market data and web services; and outsourcing and operation of trading platforms.- Management of ICMA rule book, including overseeing member trading and settlement activities in accordance with its regulatory status as an international self-regulatory organisation in the UK and designated investment exchange in the UK and Switzerland.During my tenure, revenues increased 8 fold to SFR 39m p.a
