My belief was people can only learn so much from reading, doing course work or listening to lectures because eventually they have to "do the stuff." To help our sales people improve their sales skills most of my training took place in “skill workshops” where people learn in a highly interactive manner.Sales Coaching: I coached State Auto’s regional vice presidents across the country. Utilizing my sales background and understanding of the psychology of persuasion I helped them with their professional and personal development. The goal of my coaching was to help each person become a resource their teams could turn to for growth and development. Principles of Persuasive Selling Workshop: As one of only a dozen people in the world certified to facilitate Robert Cialdini’s POP Workshop - and the only person in the insurance industry - I facilitated a variation of the training for independent insurance agents with a decidedly sales focus. The goals was to help agents increase their sales and improve their agency management skills by applying scientifically proven ways to communicate. Results were impressive, with agencies seeing 14.8% growth in the three months immediately following the workshop.I also led the workshop and other persuasion related training for claim reps and managers. As a result, we saw a noticeable uptick in customer satisfaction scores from claimants. -
