After traveling the western U.S. for several months, my wife and I relocated to Duluth, MN where I explored several business ownership opportunities. However, the majority of my focus has been on a start up concept inspired by our travels. Glamping or "glamorous camping" is an upscale style of camping offering the comforts of a fine hotel while still being close to nature. As an adjunct to working on the launch I obtained my real estate license in late 2015. This allowed me to scout glamping locations while also building a real estate business. The Glamping project has been shelved due to our relocation to Phoenix, AZ.

My last project with Savvy Sherpa, a venture research firm, included leading support, operations and client implementations for a new activity tracker product and corresponding wellness program that we created to help people live healthier lives. My role involved partnering with sales, clients, development and manufacturing to ensure client organizations are on-boarded and supported.Prior to that I played a General Manager role for a sales team as part of a research project for a major healthcare client. We created processes, strategies and tools for conducting virtual health insurance sales.

I created and operated an outdoors affiliate marketing website as a way to learn more about SEO and ecommerce. The site was profitable, but I closed it when Minnesota changed its sales tax laws.

As part of Target's relaunch of their website I was responsible for creating the teams that ensured online operations processes were in place and followed by internal teams and vendors. Responsibilities also included vendor relationships and oversight.

Drove and led the merger of multiple teams into one more efficient and focused team supporting the successful execution of technology projects at Target. This included consultation on methodology selection and use as well as quality assurance and communication in a global environment.

Greater Salt Lake City Area

Original member of Target Bank's senior leadership team in Salt Lake City where I helped open Target's Industrial Bank including the launch of their Target Business Credit Card. My primary focus was creating and running the operations organization which included customer service, collections, training and IT. I was also involved in marketing and new product development including development of a prepaid card.

Led two large contact centers totaling 200-300 agents depending on the time of year. One served Target's credit card guests and the other was a catalog business. Both were responsible for delivering a Target brand experience through in-house and outsourced agents. I led five managers who each had about five team leads and I also traveled internationally to visit outsourcers.

Served as general board member, Secretary and member of nominating and executive committees.

Completed Six Sigma Blackbelt training and led a quality assurance team.

Created and led a large (100 seat+) brokerage trading and service contact center in Salt Lake City. I led up to five leaders through the life cycle from start up to ramp down including multiple rounds of layoffs.
