Deputy General Counsel
Current- Provide legal and commercial advice and support to Product/R&D teams on Cybersecurity SaaS products, including open source software, privacy by design, data practices, inbound/outbound licensing rights, product security, and quote-to-cash issues; Advise clients navigating data rights, including opportunities for data collection/usage in Machine Learning environments and use of Generative AI; Work cross-functionally to structure and draft terms for commercial templates, custom deal-specific terms, and product policies; Advise, structure, draft, and negotiate technology transactions, including OEM relationships, inbound technology licenses, joint development, collaboration, joint solutions, strategic alliances, and integration/testing agreements- Negotiate sales, procurement, and other commercial agreements including enterprise SaaS sales, channel partner agreements, corporate and product procurement, strategic relationships, customer/vendor DPAs, BAAs, and Security attachments; Update forms, streamline processes, and standardize positions to improve contract throughput and reduce escalations - Provide B2B Privacy advice and support on privacy notices and processes under legal frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA and similar laws; Manage privacy program build-out relating to privacy policies and data governance; Support Information Security compliance programs such as SOC, HIPAA and FedRAMP, data security policy development, TPRM administration, and syncing customer commitments with compliance programs, vendor terms, and existing security measures- Advise Marketing and Lead Gen teams on data collection and use for both individuals and enterprises; Provide legal advice and compliance support for digital marketing campaigns through notices and marketing preference administration requirements; developed marketing policies and training materials regarding legal issues associated with marketing; Review press releases, corporate collateral, and other marketing materials
