In March of 2004, I got an opportunity to work at HealthSouth Corporation where I worked as a reimbursement specialist, filing Medicare and Medicaid cost reports that were compliant with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies, and responding to audits and appeals. Additionally, I provided analysis on reimbursement issues related to regulatory reporting requirements.

While seeking gainful employment as a lawyer after taking the bar exam, I worked at Harbin Pharmacy, Inc. (Harbin Discount Pharmacy) as a pharmacy technician, performing pharmacy-related functions and working collaboratively under the oversight and authority of a licensed pharmacist. This job afforded me the opportunity to develop customer and client relationship management skills in a customer-facing job.
